An estimated 40,000 people lined the streets of Limerick city for the 46th International Band Championship in Ireland's only international band competition.
A total of 1200 musicians will take part in the event which begins in Limerick's Pery Square at 12 noon and parades down O'Connell Street ending in Arthur's Quay park with a free public performance.
