The Knights of Glin Experience is an interactive and engaging experience telling the unique story of the Fitzgerald family, The Knights of Glin, from the mid 1200’s to the present day.
The Knights of Glin Experience offers visitors a unique insight into the story of The Knights of Glin, a branch of the great Anglo-Irish dynasty, The Earls of Desmond.
Visitors can enjoy a free and interactive audio / visual guide of the story of the Knights of the Valley who settled here by the river Shannon in the early 13th century. A tale of conflict and betrayal, of misfortune and survival, it offers an intriguing insight into the Knights of Glin and the many challenges they faced over the past 800 years.
After your visit to the Knights of Glin Experience you can continue your tour through the picturesque village of Glin and enjoy the Glin Heritage Walks which take you through Glin Castle Demesne or along the scenic Shannon Estuary.
